We’re delighted to have been given a Green Flag Award, the quality badge for green spaces. Jon Winder, Chair of Love Hambrook Marshes, said: “Hambrook Marshes this week received a prestigious Green Flag Award. We are one of only four open spaces in the Canterbury district that received such an award and this is entirely down to the time and effort our volunteers put into making Hambrook Marshes a welcoming, clean and sustainable place for both people and wildlife. A huge thank you to them, not just from me and the other trustees, but also from the tens of thousands of visitors who enjoy visiting the Marshes every year.”

The Green Flag Award is an international quality mark for parks and green spaces and Hambrook Marshes joins over 2,000 other sites across the country that received an award this year, including the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, Chiswick Old Cemetery in London and Kearsney Parks in Dover.
