We are very grateful to our local KCC councillor, Mike Sole (pictured), for providing us with £400 from his KCC Member’s grant. We’ve used it to add five more rustic benches along the Great Stour Way, which were installed in November. They provide more opportunities to stop and enjoy the beauty of our local chalk stream, and we have already received many appreciative comments from our regular visitors. Two benches have been positioned close together in front of the willow maze to encourage families to meet here. We’ll also be keeping riverside vegetation near the benches short so that views of the river can be enjoyed at all times.
